Redmi K40S and Xiaomi Civi 1S start getting stable Android 13 update

Xiaomi Android 13 update rollout is in full swing, with more phones getting the stable upgrade. The Chinese company has now released the update to the Redmi K40S and Xiaomi Civi 1S, while the Redmi Note 11T series has also received the update.

Although only the Xiaomi 12 series has received Android 13 outside of China, we expect that to change with more devices getting the update in China. Hopefully, Xiaomi will release the update to POCO F4 and POCO X4 GT, which are global versions of Redmi Note 11T Pro and Redmi K40S, currently getting stable Android 13 in China.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi is seeding the Redmi K40S Android 13 update with a version number MIUI 13.2.5.0 TLMCNXM, while the Xiaomi Civi 1S is getting a stable MIUI 13.2.5.0 TLPCNXM. Both builds deliver a stable MIUI based on Android 13 with the October 2022 security patch part of the package.

And given that some third-party apps are yet to adapt to Android 13, it’s necessary to back up your data before installation. Also, the company warns of overheating and glitches after the upgrade. Hence, give a good thought before upgrading, otherwise, wait for feedback or the next rollout.
