Of course, the device is quite popular, given its 5G connectivity and the affordable price tag, and hence, many people have been waiting for the MIUI 12.5 update. Luckily, the update is now available, and it seems to be a stable release.

Although the changelog says only “improved system security and stability and optimized system performance” the update comes with more features. Supposedly, all the MIUI 12.5 features are part of the package, and you’d notice after upgrading your device.
Some of these features, perhaps optimizations, includes revamped control and notification panel. It’s not easy to reply to messages seamlessly without opening the app. Also, the animation is smooth, and performance has been improved when some report improved battery backup.
