Latest update: Xiaomi redmi note 5 starts receiving MIUI 10.2.1.0 OEIMIXM
Xiaomi has started pushing a new update to the Redmi Note 5. The update is arriving with a version number MIUI 10.2.1.0 OEIMIXM, weighing about 502MB and requires you to download over a Wi-Fi.
Arriving with the update is bug fixes, system optimization, and updated security patch. The lock screen, status bar, notification bar, and recorder app, were all optimizes to fix some minor bugs. There’re also some few changes which didn’t appear in the change log but we were able to point them out after some time with the device.

Apart from the notable changes that came with MIUI 10.2.1.0 OEIMIXM, the performance is superb and it has also improved Redmi Note 5 battery life greatly. The battery icon has changed and now displays percentage when not in charging, while on charging it turns green and no flash logo again. Task performance of the device has never been so cool with everything now smoother.
The update is currently hitting Redmi note 5 and if you haven’t got the update, navigate to the setting, my device, and from there you can scan for the MIUI 10.2.1.0 OEIMIXM update. Be patient if you can’t find it because is normal for some delay with OTA rollouts.
