The journey of the 7-series continues with the release of Redmi Note 7S in India. The device is a replica of the Redmi Note 7 but for the Indian market, while the latter remains only officially on sale in China.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S is designed using aluminum on the frame and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for both the back and the front panel. At the back is what would be the selling point of the device, a 48MP Quad-Bayer snapper accompanied by 5MP depth effect lens.
The 13MP selfie camera is placed on the teardrop notch. Meanwhile, the screen measures 6.3-inch diagonally with a 1080p resolution of 19.5:9 aspect ratio panel. Under the hood is Snapdragon 660 Octa-core with a frequency clocking at 2.2GHz. It’s paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, expandable via MicroSD card. Coupled with Adreno 512 GPU, you’ll get a decent multitasking and nature-like colors.
For power, you get a 4000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. However, you need to spend extra for the fast adapter because the package comes with a 10W adapter. There’s a rear-mounted fingerprint for biometric verification and you get Android Pie operating system on top MIUI 10 skin out-of-box.
For pricing and availability, Redmi Note 7S will be available officially in India from 23 May on Flipkart and MI.com starting from $157. Available color option includes Onyx Black, Sapphire Blue, and Ruby Red.
