After the April 27 unveiling of Xiaomi MIUI 12 custom ROM, the closed beta testing for the Chinese ROM started immediately. It seems the company has concluded the testing as a Stable Beta MIUI 12 update starts arriving for Redmi K20/Mi 9T. The update carries the same build number with the update that’s being sent to Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro.
The build number is MIUI 12.0.1.0 QJBCNXM. It’s for the Chinese Redmi K20/ Mi 9T users, and with some global unit already running Stable MIUI 12, we expect the public rollout this time. Meanwhile, that also depends on how successful the Beta testing will be. It might be days, weeks, or even months before the update starts seeding, but we’re optimistic it will be days.

Unfortunately, some of these features won’t make it to all the Xiaomi devices. Recall that Dark Mode was also a feature of the MIUI 11, but it never made it to Redmi 5 Plus and few other Xiaomi phones. Also, the company released an official list of phones to receive the new camera functions, and most mid-rangers phones miss out completely.
According to the company, it takes additional time to integrate these features into the device development, which is likely the reason most mid-range phones were left out. Nevertheless, expect a stable MIUI 12 update on your phone anytime from now, the rollout has just begun!
