Redmi 9A starts pushing stable MIUI 12.5 update in China

Xiaomi has now released the stable MIUI 12.5 update for Redmi 9A in China. Our report earlier today suggested that the build will be released soon. We’d know it will start seeding this month, given how swift Xiaomi can act with update rollout. However, the build is still based on Android 10, not surprising, but it has been tipped to arrive with Android 11 globally.

Stable MIUI 12.5 update for Redmi 9A

Xiaomi has been working to finalize the stable MIUI 12.5 deployment to focus on Enhanced Edition. With that, we expect the company to start releasing the update to eligible phones waiting for it. Of course, the Redmi 9A is among, which has now started pushing the build in China. The update is seeding with Android 10, which was expecting. However, the global models are expected to receive both Android 11 and MIUI 12.5 simultaneously. The build is said to arrive at the same time as the Chinese rollout, and hence, you should expect global availability in the coming days.

The stable MIUI 12.5 update for Redmi 9A is seeding with a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 QCDCNXM. It comes with features of MIUI 12.5 and might as well be in contention for the Enhanced Edition. Xiaomi recently announced that the second batch of the rollout to include the Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 9, and Redmi Note 10 series. Hopefully, the Redmi 9A will receive the build as well.

Nevertheless, as usual, the MIUI 12.5 update is available for limited users for preview. It should be available for the public in the coming days, and that might be when it will arrive on international models. If you’re using the Chinese variants, you can download the update below or check the updater app.
