Xiaomi has started sending out a stable update for the Redmi Note 8 users in Europe. It’s an update that brings along with it the October security patch and the new MIUI Android skin. Also, it brings the much-anticipated Android 10, and is also looking like the device will receive the Android 11 update soon.
Meanwhile, it doesn’t look like anyone has got the stable MIUI 12 update for the Redmi Note 8 in Europe. However, you can install the recovery ROM instead since Xiaomi has released it. There’s also an option to go fastboot, but that’s if you’re on unofficial ROM and want to try the latest update. You can access the links below.
The update has a version number, MIUI 12.0.1.0 QCOEUXM, and weighs in at about 2.1GB. Although it comes with all the features of MIUI 12 and that of Android 10, on the changelog are only two changes. They’re “updated Android Security patch to October 2020 and improved system security.” Meanwhile, you need to activate the new control center manually, and for the super wallpaper, you should follow this link and learn how to activate it on your Redmi Note 8.
