The Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro was released in 2019 running Android 9 based on MIUI 11. Early this year, the device migrated to Android 10 still on MIUI 11, but that changes now, at least for early adopters of the new MIUI Android skin.
In April, Xiaomi launched the MIUI 12 custom ROM, which the closed beta testing started immediately. After some weeks, for the first time, they unveiled the UI globally, but because closed beta testing is suspended globally, it was the stable beta ROM that was rolled out to early adopters.
The beta testing was a success, because for some time now, the stable MIUI 12 update has been rolling out to eligible Xiaomi phones. Among the first devices to receive the stable update is the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, back in the company’s home country, China. Other devices have also bagged the update, with the latest to receive the update in that country – Xiaomi MI CC9 Pro.
The Stable MIUI 12 update for Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro is arriving at random, which is normal for OTA updates. It’s so that in case of any serious issue, there damage will be minimal and the update can easily be paused.
Meanwhile, the stable MIUI 12 update for Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro is arriving with a build number, “MIUI 12.0.1.0 QFDCNXM”, and weighs at 822MB. It’s arriving with all the features of MIUI 12, which include Dark Mode, Floating Windows, New System Animation, System UI, Enhanced Privacy, among others.
If you haven’t received the update, you should check System Updates, or download the ROM from the link below the post. This guide here will help you flash the ROM, but that’s if you’re running the Chinese version.
