MIUI 12MIUI updates

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7, Note 7 Pro, Note 9 Pro, and Note 9 Pro Max to receive stable MIUI 12 this month

Last week, Xiaomi announced on Weibo that it has completed the second phase of the MIUI 12 rollout. A total of 15 Xiaomi phones received the update during that time, including the Redmi Note 8 Pro. And having concluded the second phase of rollout, the company is expected to initiate the third phase.

The third phase of the MIUI 12 rollout is believed to start this month. It will see more than 10 Redmi phones bag the much-anticipated update, which among them is the Redmi Note 7, Note 7 Pro, Note 9 Pro, and Note 9 Pro Max.

Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 7 Pro is currently testing a beta stable MIUI 12 build. Unfortunately, only limited users received the update, and due to the number of bugs that were reported, the public release has been delayed. However, we expect the stable build to start arriving this month after developers must have made progress fixing the reported bugs, giving how long the preview has lasted.

As for the Redmi Note 7, only the Chinese users have received a stable MIUI 12 update, which is typical for all major Xiaomi updates. The global users will receive the update this month, going by the supposed list of phones to receive the update in the third phase. It was Xiaomi executive, Alvin Tse, that confirmed the September time frame for the Redmi Note 9 Pro.

And since the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and Redmi Note 9S has the same development, we expect the duo to receive the update alongside the Note 9 Pro. Other Xiaomi phones to also get the update this month include the Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note Plus, Redmi 6, and Redmi 6A, among others. Meanwhile, if your device isn’t listed, there’s a supposed list of phones to receive the update with the fourth and final phase.
