Vodafone version of the MIUI 12 is now available for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G, unlike other flagship phones, hasn’t got the best support in terms of updates and otherwise. It still runs pre-installed Android OS with no plans of upgrading it to the latest OS. Even the MIUI 12 update that arrived a couple of months ago was never in the cards, but the company had a change of plans after so many agitations from the device users.

The update before now was only available for the global and EEA users and going by a recent report, the Vodafone version of MIUI 12 is now available for the Mi Mix 3 5G users. It’s arriving with a build number, MIUI 12.0.1.0 PEMEUVF, and will progressively appear on all eligible devices (running the latest and official MIUI ROM). Unfortunately, the update is based on Android 9, but the security patch level has been bumped to September 2020. It improved the system security as well as performance and also fixed some bugs.

Of course, it comes with all the features of MIUI 12, which include revamped system UI, new system animation, dark mode 2.0, new control, and new camera functions. The super wallpaper can only work after manual activation, and you can follow this link to learn how.

If you haven’t got the Vodafone version of MIUI 12 yet, you should change your region to the UK and scan again. To change your current region, you might need to make use of a VPN. Choose one of the major UK cities and then try to scan for new update by heading over to the updater app.

And if you don’t still get the update after changing your region, then you should check this post later for the links to download the recovery files. At the moment, the links haven’t been updated, and once they’re up, we will update this post, so you can download them and start enjoying the Vodafone version of the MIUI 12 update.
