Windows 12: Release Date, Price, and Everything You Need To Know
According to reports, Microsoft is currently in the process of developing a new version of their flagship operating system to potentially succeed Windows 11. In fact, Microsoft has already showcased a prototype desktop design for this new iteration of Windows, potentially known as Windows 12 or referred to by the codename “Next Valley.” While details are limited, here’s what we currently know about this upcoming release.
When will Windows 12 be released?
Presently, reports suggest that the next major version of Windows will be released in 2024, approximately three years after Windows 11’s debut. However, there is limited information available at this time, and it may be a while before we receive more details. It is possible that Windows. 12 will launch in the fall or second half of the year, based on previous release patterns, but this is not confirmed. Microsoft has denied working on Windows 12, but it could be that they are keeping their plans under wraps until closer to the launch date.
In the meantime, Windows 11 will continue to receive updates and new features. For example,
Windows 11 version 22H2 was released in September 2022, including features such as Start menu folders and new touch gestures. Additional “moment” updates for version 22H2 are expected in 2023.
