Xiaomi 12X debuted alongside the 12 and 12 Pro in China on December 28. The trio had the same design but different internals. On the software side, Xiaomi 12X runs Android 11 on top of MIUI 13, while the other two debuted with Android 12 on top of MIUI 13. The phones recently arrived on the international market, and there are no changes to their software, meaning the Xiaomi 12X currently runs Android 11.
Since hitting the shelves a couple of weeks ago, the company has released a series of Xiaomi 12X stable updates. Most of them to address bugs and improve performance. The recent 12X update that arrived for global models with a version number MIUI 13.0.5.0 RLDMIXM brought the February security patch and a bunch of bug fixes.
Aside from increasing system security and stability, the update also improved the camera quality of the device. It optimized Auto brightness and fingerprint, while fixing the noise occasionally heard from the speakers. With that, we expect Xiaomi to release Android 12 to the device soon, and we recommend that you install any pending Xiaomi 12X Stable update.
How to flash Xiaomi 12X stable update via Recovery
First, you need to download the recovery ROM and then move it to your device’s internal memory. After, you should head to Updater App and click on the three dots on the top left. Click choose update package and select the ROM that you downloaded. The system will verify the ROM, and once the verification is completed, the flashing will commence.
