Xiaomi Android 14 bugs: All reported Android 14 bugs

Xiaomi started rolling out the Android 14 update with its in-house MIUI 14 skin on October 4, 2023. The rollout is currently exclusive to limited users known as beta testers. They’ll preview the ROM for a couple of weeks before it can become available on the stable channel. The idea is to address any issues these people might find in the build so the public won’t deal with them.

Xiaomi Android 14 bugs

As expected, a handful of bugs affecting Xiaomi phones running Android 14 are already being reported. So far, only the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and Xiaomi 12T have got the Android 14 upgrade. The company will decide when to release the upgrade to more devices, given the feedback from the current testers. But it seems we are still weeks away from the stable Android 14 release for Xiaomi phones.

According to the latest MIUI weekly bug report, Xiaomi Android 14 bugs seem to affect the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro users only. Perhaps, only the device users are reporting the bugs, as we believe it’s a general issue with beta Android OS upgrades.

Google Pay/Wallet not working

Xiaomi 13 / Pro users are reporting issues making payments with Google Wallet/Pay. Even when Google released the Android 14 QPR1 update, it was the same for many users. The latest Android 14-based MIUI 14 update doesn’t meet the security requirements to run Google Pay, hence why it’s not working. Xiaomi has promised to address the issue with a new update soon.

The unlock screen is too slow

Again, only Xiaomi 13 / Pro users are facing this problem. While the company is working on a fix, we believe a factory reset can do some fixing. However, you should only try that if your data is backed up or you wait for a new update to resolve it.

We will update this page with other Xiaomi Android 14 bugs later. Also, when a fix for the reported issues starts rolling out, we will update the post to reflect that.
