[Update: August 09] Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G gets MIUI 12.5 in Europe

Xiaomi has been rolling out the latest iteration of its MIUI Android skin for months, but we are still months away from completion. The Mi 11 Lite 5G started receiving the update for the first time a couple of days ago. It was the units in Taiwan that received the update, hinting at imminent arrival in other regions. As anticipated, the update is now available in Europe and Russia.
The Mi 11 Lite 5G MIUI 12.5 update brings the features of the new OS while pushes the Android security patch level to May 2021. Some of these features, which are essentially optimization, include instant response to gestures, custom device adjustment to make your device faster, and 20x more rendering power. There are improvements made on the Note App while the look has been revamped. And while it seems the update has improved the device performance, it fails to address third-party launcher issues on gesture and notification bugs. The former looks like an Android 11 bug, but we hope Xiaomi rolls out a fix soon.
Meanwhile, the Mi 11 Lite 5G MIUI 12.5 update is on a limited rollout in Europe. It has a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 RKIEUXM – and weighs in at about 585MB. In Russia, the update is available for everyone. That means you can download the ROM and flash it manually. Also, you don’t need an authorized Mi Beta account or TWRP recovery, only follow this procedure here and flash the ROM.

A new update is now seeding to the global version of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G. It brings the August security patch to increase system security and stability. The build carries a software version number – MIUI 12.5.5.0 RKIMIXM – and you can download here: Recovery | OTA (Apply from v12.5.2.0)

The Russia variants of the Mi 11 Lite 5G is receiving a new MIUI 12.5.2.0 RKIRUXM to improve system performance. The update has optimized video picture quality while fixing some minor bugs. It’s a public rollout, and hence, you can download the build here: Recovery | Fastboot | OTA (Apple from v12.5.1.0), and flash.

Xiaomi has now released the update for the global users. It has a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 RKIMIXM and could only bring the basic features of the new OS. Hopefully, a new update will brings the missing features along. Check the full post here.

The Chinese model for the Mi 11 Lite 5G is now adopting the stable MIUI 12.5 in China. It comes as MIUI 12.5 2.0 RKICNXM, along with all features of the new MIUI OS. That include the ones missing for the global models. You can check for the all changes and also download the recovery ROM from here.
