Xiaomi finally unveiled an affordable alternative to the Mi Note 10 that it released last year, dubbed Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite. The event also saw the Redmi Note 9 announced, with Note 9 Pro and Note 9S making their Global debut.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite follows the series trend of a curved display, now perfected with an Epic 3D AMOLED panel. The immersive 6.47-inch 19.5:9 aspect ratio FullHD+ display supports 400,000:1 contrast ratio and HDR 10. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner secured under a 3D Corning Gorilla Glass.
The display also supports dark mode with Always-on-display. And with the latest AOD features, you can now customize your screen to give a refreshing look. There’s a 32MP selfie shooter, secured inside a notch, that also supports face unlock.
Around the back is a Quad-camera arrangement, secured at the top left corner of the back panel. It’s a primary 64MP wide-angle 16um 4-in-1 super-pixel, 8MP ultra-wide-angle, 5MP depth, and 2MP macro sensor. Features of the camera include 4k video shooting, 960fps slo-mo video, AI document scan scene detection, Vlog, and night mode.
However, while there has been a compromise in the camera department compared to the Mi Note 10, the battery capacity is still 5260mAh. It supports 30W fast charging and will charge your device to 100% in 64 minutes. Interestingly, the package will ship with the 30W adapter.
Outside-of-the-box, Xiaomi MI Note 10 Lite runs Android 10 on top MIUI 11. The device will be among the early adopters of the new Xiaomi MIUI 12. Other features of the device are IR Blaster, 3.5mm headphone jack, and NFC.
Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite pricing and availability
The device will be available from Mid-May with an asking of $380 for the base 6/64GB memory combo. The 6/128GB variant will set you back $54, and you will be able to choose from Purple, White, and Black colors.
