After a series of beta testing, Xiaomi has finally released the Android 12 update for the Pad 5. The update is currently exclusive to Mi Pilots testers in Europe for preview, after which it will start seeding for the public. It is expected to arrive for global users and other regions after a successful preview.
It has been months since the Xiaomi Pad 5 Android 12 update entered the testing phase. The testing had some issues and that delayed the release. However, Xiaomi is currently pushing the stable release to users in Europe.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 Android 12 update is seeding with a version number MIUI 13.1.2.0 SKXEUXM and weighs 3.0GB. Arriving with the build is a stable MIUI based on Android 12, September 2022 security patch, optimizations, and bug fixes. According to reports, the update has fixed the DPI issue, and now you can set a custom DPI without problems.
Unfortunately, there are no new Widgets, meaning you’ll continue using the ones that arrived with MIUI 13. We understand that Xioami has limited the new Widgets to the Chinese version of the device. Hopefully, Xiaomi will bring some of them to global variants with future updates.

The global models of the Xiaomi Pad 5 are getting a new stable update. It is seeding with a version number MIUI 13.1.3.0 SKXMIXM. As expected, it brings the October 2022 security patch and few optimizations. According to the update log, Adjusting Home screen widget size Optimization: Home screen layout adjustments: 6×4 for horizontal orientation and 4×6 for vertical orientation, is part of the package.
