Xiaomi Redmi Y3 announced with $145 price tag
Xiaomi has officially announced the Redmi Y3 in India, in an event which also sees the unveiling of Redmi 7. The Y-series is basically for selfie and so, is equipped with a 32MP super selfie camera. It features Auto HDR, 1.6um 4-in-1 super pixel, screen flash, AI portrait mode, Full HD selfie recording with EIS, and 80° wide field of view.
The primary camera impressed with 12MP + 2MP AI dual sensors, which supports Full HD video recording @60fps. It’s also equipped with AI scene detection, AI portrait mode, Built-in Google lens, and EIS.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi Redmi Y3 resolves around a 6.26-inch IPS LCD screen with a thin bezel and dot notch giving it a high screen-to-body ratio. It’s protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for maximum durability and resistance against scratch. Redmi Y3 is splash resistance, which means you don’t have to worry if you’re caught in the rain.
Behind the performance is the recently released Snapdragon 632 SoC, contrary to SD 625 suggested by previous leaks. It’ll be paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable internal memory storage up to 512GB, possible with the 2+1 card slot.
The battery is 4000mAh and supports 10W charging via Micro USB port. The 3.5mm headphone jack is present so you can enjoy some cool music whilst playing your favorite game.
Xiaomi Redmi Y3 will go on sale starting from April 30 for $145 for 3/32GB variant, while the 4/64GB model will sell for $170. The device will be available in color of Black, Blue, and Red.
