Before the official unveiling of MIUI 12.5, the MIUI+, previously known as the “Screen Combo feature,” was limited to Mi 10 Ultra and only supports Mi NoteBook Pro 15 2020. The list has since expanded, and nine Xiaomi phones currently support the feature. However, it seems the MIUI+ support is still limited to Mi NoteBooks and Xiaomi phones running Snapdragon Chips. But the company going by the latest report will soon extend MIUI+ support to MacBooks and integrate it with MTK models.
For starters, the MIUI+ is basically like the Desktop mode feature in most Android phones. It’s one of the features of the newly released MIUI 12.5 system update. The feature makes it possible to project the screen of the mobile phone to the computer. It supports functions like viewing mobile notifications, drag and drop transferring of files, two-way synchronization. But it seems the company will expand the features available in MIUI +to support initiating the computer camera to make a video call.
The latest development was posted on the official MIUI Weibo account. According to the post, which is the summary of the online Q&A section about the MIUI+ functions. The person in charge of answering the community queries when asked about the Redmi K30 Ultra, which runs Mediatek processor adapting the MIUI+ functions answered;
