Xiaomi is slowly winding down the rollout of MIUI 12 to it’s premium and high-end smartphones. The Mi 9 EEA version was first to receive the stable MIUI 12 update, alongside the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro. And now, the update is available for the European variants of Redmi K20 Pro while the global MI 9 is getting the update as well.
The stable MIUI 12 update for Mi 9 is arriving with a version number, MIUI 12.0.1.0 QFAMIXM, and weighs in at 1.2GB. It brings all the features of MIUI 12, which includes, but not limited to, Dark Mode, Floating Window, System Animation, System Visuals, Unify Font and Enhance Privacy. Aside from the changes, the update also fixed some bugs and also bumps the security patch level to June 2020.
To check for the update, head over to the updater app and manually scan for the update. But since the rollout is staged, it might take some time before it appears on your device. However, we have added a link below this post from where you can manually download the update and give your device a new look.
Unfortunately, only the Recovery ROM is available, but on the flip side, it won’t require unlocking the Bootloader to flash the ROM. But then, only if your device is running a Global stable ROM can you download the ROM, otherwise, it will be a wasted data.
