Since the unveiling of the iOS 16 at the WWDC2 (along with other interesting software), it has been all but awful. I mean, we’ve seen a series of beta releases that keep on bringing new features for iOS users to be amazed about. There’s the iOS 16.2 beta 3 and a unique feature from this better release is the Always On Display option.
The 679MB iOS 16.2 beta 3 update brings in two options for the Always On Display on the iPhone 14 series. Thanks to the update, you can choose to either show your wallpaper or show notifications(or do both) while on Always On Display. Having gotten the iOS 16.2 beta 3, when you switch off the toggle for Show Wallpaper, you can only access time, date and widgets on your blank screen.
Toggling notifications off will further “reduce clutter” on the iPhone 14 series. These measures have been taken by Apple (via the iOS 16.2 beta 3 update) to probably reduce battery consumption. That said, there are still some bug fixes and improvements under the hood which you can get full details of by clicking the link at the end of the article.
It’s been a lot of features before the iOS 16.2 beta 3
As mentioned earlier, there has been a series of rollouts that has brought a lot of tweaks to iPhones. There are the Game Center Splash screen and Lock screen tweaks from iOS 16.1 beta 2 and there are the Clean charging, Music app tweak and the status bar tweak from beta 1 and a few from beta 3, let’s wait and see what other tweaks Cupertino has up his sleeve.
