Infinix Hot 8 looks promising with the design, but the specs are below expectations in 2019. Nevertheless, some Infinix Hot 8 specs did impress, like the big thin-bezel display and teardrop notch, which are trending smartphone features in 2019. Again, the triple rear camera arrangement, massive battery, and fingerprint scanner are all impressive. Another interesting Infinix Hot 8 specs are the front and back glass build, but unfortunately, the device lacks wireless charging.

Infinix Hot 8 specs
Infinix Hot 8 has a sleek design, thanks to the glass build. The phone has a thin bezel and features a teardrop notch for the selfie camera. It has all the four edges curved, and on the frame, is the volume rocker alongside the power button. At the back is the triple camera sensor, and in-between is the Quad-LED flash while sitting beside the arrangement is the fingerprint scanner.
Display
It’s time Infinix work on their display resolution and stop competing with entry-level phones like Redmi 7A and Redmi 8A, which are even better all round. Meanwhile, Infinix Hot 8 has a 6.52-inch panel with a 700 x 1600p resolution. The aspect ratio stretches to 20:9, while the pixel density is 269PPI.
There aren’t many upgrades from the predecessor, Hot 7, and you won’t even notice any changes in color representation. Nevertheless, the device is a decent upgrade.
Performance
If you’re a gamer, the Infinix Hot 8 is not ideal. However, it can play most games but not the resource-demanding ones. Also, you can do decent multitasking with a 4GB RAM variant, but that will still lag considering the processor.
Infinix Hot 8 runs MTK 6762 Helio P22 (4GB 64GB) or MTK 6761 Helio A22 ( 3GB 32GB). Outside the box, you get Android Pie on top XOS 5.0.
Camera
The major upgrade from Hot 7 comes in the camera department. Infinix Hot 8 has three rear cameras:13MP wide, 2MP depth, and QVGA low light sensor. It features Quad-LED flash, panorama, HDR 10, and supports 1080p@30fps video. The front snapper, fitted inside the front notch, is an 8MP f/2.0 aperture sensor with LED Flash.
Battery
You get ample of time gaming, playing music, and watching/streaming videos. The 5000mAh battery will charge through an outdated, Micro USB port. However, it supports 10W fast charging, which takes less than 120minutes for a fully charged battery.
Security
There is nothing special here and is just a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. However, the scanner gives maximum security and is also very fast when unlocking your device.

Infinix Hot 8 price starts from $100, and that’s for the base variant. The more Premium 64GB version will set you back $120. The phone is available in both online and offline shops.
