Ahead of the planned Android 11 and MIUI 12.5 upgrade, Xiaomi is currently sending out a new stable update for the Redmi Note 9S and Mi 9T. The duo, which runs Android 10 on top of MIUI 12, is eligible for a new Android OS and MIUI 12.5. However, the updates are still under testing and will start seeding once the testing is completed.
And while we wait on the update, Xiaomi is pushing a new security patch to the Redmi Note 9S units in Europe. The update has a build number, MIUI 12.0.3.0 QJWEUXM, and weighs in at 335MB. It bumps the security patch level to January 2021 and improved system security.
The same update is also rolling out to the Mi 9T globally. However, it has a different version number – MIUI 12.0.7.0 QFJMIXM and weighs in at 186MB. It has pushed the security patch level to January 2021 and improved system security while fixing minor bugs.
As usual, the new stable update for the Redmi Note 9S and Mi 9T is arriving in batches. It will first arrive for limited users before the public release. Meanwhile, you can manually scan for the update via the Updater App ( System Updates) or use the link below to download the Recovery and OTA ROM. After downloading, you can install the ROM using the recovery method, but that might return an error. If that happens, you should wait for some days and try again.
