The Redmi K20 series was introduced last year, which the company sold Globally as Mi 9T and 9T Pro. The latter arrived with flagship specs and an affordable price to fill the void left by the company’s failure to launch the successor of the POCO F1. Late last year, the company introduced the Redmi K30, and now, the Pro variant is weeks away from the official debut. The device is confirmed to come with Snapdragon 865, and according to reports, it will be the best-priced device to run the premium SoC.
According to a reliable source, the Redmi K30 Pro will be one of the cheapest if the cheapest Snapdragon 865 device. He also stated that Redmi’s focus at the moment is on the price. With that said, we should not expect premium camera specs, just as we have seen on the predecessor. We can expect an LCD panel, 33W charging, and a primary 64MP Sony IMX 686 camera, at least.
Meanwhile, the Redmi GM Lu Weibing has taken to Weibo to reveal some aspects of the device. According to him, there will be a Redmi K30 Pro zoom variant. We can expect the device to have a telephoto lens, which according to recent rumors, the lens will have an optical image stabilization with the primary sensor.
In addition to the teaser, the Redmi K30 Pro is seen in a pre-production case to confirm some of the specs. It shows a motorized selfie camera and the Quad camera lens arranged on a circular bump. Although we couldn’t see the front panel, the motorized pop up confirms we are getting a notch-less display.
