Vivo X23

Vivo has quietly unveiled the successor of Vivo X21, featuring a nearly bezel-less front panel and a water drop notch. The screen sports 6.41-inch super AMOLED display of 1080 x 2340px resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio panel.

Under the hood is the newest Qualcomm cutting-edge Octa-core processor, Snapdragon 670. The SoC implements Kryo architecture, clocking at 2.0GHz for optimized performance. It’s paired with 8GB RAM and coupled with a non-expandable 128GB internal memory.

The Vivo X23 received a big boost in the camera department having followed in the footsteps of Galaxy S9 and Note 9 to feature massive f/1.4um lens. The main camera has 12MP f/1.8 lens accompanied by 13MP f/2.4 sub shooter for depth effect. On the front panel is a single 12MP selfie snapper with HDR.

Packed inside the Vivo X23 for maximum power is 3400mAh battery that supports fast charge technology through an outdated Micro USB port. It runs Android OS 8.1 out of the box on top Funtouch OS 4.5.

Display

Occupying the front panel is a tall 6.41-inch super AMOLED 19.5:9 aspect ratio display featuring 1080 x 2340px resolution with 403PPI to deliver vivid and seamless display. It also features the water drop notch that houses the front selfie snapper while supporting multitouch and over 16m colors, for natural color representation.

Performance

Under the hood is latest 600-series chip – Snapdragon 670, from Qualcomm. The SoC makes use of 4 kryo 360 cores clocking at 2.0GHz and 4 Kryo 360 cores that clocks at 1.8GHz. It’s paired with 8GB RAM for light speed performance, coupled with Adreno 615 for decent graphics. There is something Vivo calls Turbo acceleration engine, it will help to maintain peak performance.
Vivo X23 will run Android OS 8.1 based on Funtouch OS 4.5, prior to the arrival of the Android P.

Storage

Vivo X23 comes with a premium storage, but the memory lacks expansion. It’s a 128GB internal storage, which is literally enough all your files as it can contain 1000+ pictures, video, games and almost all the apps on Google Play store.

Camera

There is an improvement in the camera department compare to the predecessor. On the rear camera arrangement is dual 12MP f/1.8 aperture lens with a massive 1.4um pixel that featured in Galaxy S9 and the Note 9. The sensor also has 1/2.55” sensor size, dual pixel PDAF, accompanied by a 13MP f/2.4 lens for depth effect. Features of the camera include wide angle, HDR and LED-Flash and can shoot videos at 2160p@30fps and 1080p@30fps.
Contained in the water drop notch is a single 8MP, featuring HDR, AI and can also record videos at 1080p@30fps. 

Security

The Vivo X21 UD was first to sport the under-screen scanner and now, Vivo X23 has carried the tech after debuting with just an under-screen identification scanner that requires 0.12s to trigger.

Battery

The 3400mAh battery coupled with power efficient Snapdragon 670 SoC, will provide ample of power. Unfortunately, the phone makes use of Micro USB port but supports fast battery charging technology (22.5W).
