Xiaomi was among the first OEMs to start the Android 13 beta testing after the first developer preview but has failed to replicate that with the stable rollout. Only the Xiaomi 12 Pro has received the stable Android 13-based MIUI 13 update in China till now. However, that changes as the company starts pushing the Xiaomi 12 Android 13 update in Europe.
Perhaps, the plan was to release Android 13 and MIUI 14 simultaneously, but the recent development might have forced the company to start rolling out just the Android 13 update. As expected, only the Xiaomi 12 series are getting the update currently, with the vanilla version the first to receive it globally (Europe).
The Xiaomi 12 Android 13 update is seeding with a version number MIUI 13.2.4.0 TLCEUXM and weighs about 4.48GB. Aside from upgrading the device to Android 13, the Android security patch has been pushed to November, although we expect the latest patch soon.
Meanwhile, Android 13 isn’t yet compatible with all third-party apps, and it’s recommended that you back up your device before installation. And while the update is exclusive to Mi Pilots, you can use the download link to download and install.
