POCO F3 is one of the latest offerings by the Xiaomi sub-brand. It’s essentially the same device as the Redmi K40, exclusive for Chinese users. The device is also available in India but sells under the Mi 11X moniker. It runs recently released Snapdragon 870 SoC but pre-installed with MIUI 12 on top of Android 11, although it debuted a few weeks ago. However, the Chinese version, Redmi K40, is now receiving the much-anticipated MIUI 12.5 update. The latest iteration of MIUI brings a handful of features while fixing most of the bugs introduced by MIUI 12. And thanks to Xiaomi.EU, the POCO F3 MIUI 12.5 update is now available for download.
Xiaomi.EU is a community of developers. They’re popular in delivering features baked inside the Chinese beta/stable MIUI updates to global users. The project has been on for years now. They have now released a stable MIUI 12.5 update for the POCO F3 , which was expected after the Redmi K40 release. Of course, the Xiaomi. EU POCO F3 MIUI 12.5 update brings all expected features, even that exclusive for the Chinese users.
Meanwhile, installing the update is a bit different from flashing MIUI recovery ROMs. To successfully install the POCO F3 MIUI 12.5 update, you need to have TWRP Recovery installed. Also, it can be successfully flashed via fastboot but would require unlocking the bootloader. Hence, if you haven’t flashed ROM via TWRP Recovery or fastboot, we recommend you wait for the official release of MIUI 12.5 for the POCO F3.
