The MIUI 12.5 is finally official, and those with successful beta applications are now receiving the beta version of MIUI 12.5. It will start arriving for stable ROM users after some weeks, and you can check your device eligibility to test the update here.
Meanwhile, some Xiaomi phones are currently receiving their first Android 11 build with the MIUI 12.5 beta update. Before the development version of MIUI 12 was suspended, the company released a statement hinting that some devices, which includes Xiaomi Mi 9, Mi 9 SE, Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi Note 9 5G, Redmi K30S, have received their last development build based on Android 10. Those phones are now receiving the MIUI 12.5 beta update, and it brings their first Android 11 builds along.
Meanwhile, it’s those on the Chinese branch of MIUI and participating in the closed beta testing that is receiving the new update. We expect the stable ROM users to start receiving the update in the coming weeks, at least in China. It’s also a piece of good news for users of Mi 10T, Mi 9T Pro, Mi 9, and Mi 9 SE users globally.
The Redmi K20 Pro is the same phone as Mi 9T Pro, only that the latter is for global users and the former exclusive to Chinese users. Also, the Redmi K30S is a rebadged Mi 10T, and hence, it won’t be long until the Android 11 update starts seeding for the duo alongside the Mi 9 and Mi 9 SE.
Meanwhile, you can install these builds manually if you have got TWRP Recovery installed. It has to be the latest version with Android 11 support, or flashing the ROM will return an error. If you have the latest version installed, you can follow the links below and down the ROM for your device.
Note: the ROMs are for Chinese beta testers and might disable some Google service on your device. It also has two language options: English and Chinese.
