Before Xiaomi rolls out a major update, they will first organize a Beta test. The update will be sent to Beta Teams, Mi Pilots, and some random users, who will test the ROM and provide feedback. Most times, the Chinese version of Xiaomi phones are the first to test most of these updates.
According to the latest report, Xiaomi is currently testing Android 10 for Note 8, Redmi 8, and Redmi 8 A. All three phones will likely get the Android 10 update in the coming days. The Chinese Note 8 Android 10 has been a closed beta testing for a while now, and will definitely get the update before the Global variant.
The Note 8T is not among the device testing the Android 10 Beta ROM. Since the phone is only sold Globally, there will be no close Beta build for the device, but rather, a Beta update will be rolled out to Beta Teams, Mi Pilots, and random users, and if successful, will then start rolling out for everyone.
And if you’re yet to receive the Redmi Note 8 Pro Android 10 update, you can manually flash the ROM. First, you need to follow this link and download the file. You should be able to flash the update via Recovery. This post here will teach you how to flash recovery ROM.
