The wait for Redmi 9 MIUI 12.5 update in Europe is finally over as Xiaomi starts pushing the up to Mi Pilots. It has been months of anticipation, given that the update has since arrived in most regions except for Europe. But it looked like the company needed more time to polish the update before rolling it out. They’re probably done with the optimization as the update reaches beta testers for preview.
As we reported earlier, that the Redmi 9 MIUI 12.5 update in Europe will start seeding this month, Xiaomi has just released the build. It is a stable MIUI 12.5.1.0 RJCEUXM. The update comes along with features of MIUI 12.5, which include instant response to gestures, more rendering power, a new custom device model, optimization to make MIUI faster, smoother, and lighter. Also, power consumption and background memory usage have been reduced while the notification and control panel UI has been revamped.
Aside from the features/changes, the update has bumped the Android security patch level to August 2021 to increase system security and stability. As usual, it has fixed some bugs and optimized system performance but didn’t do much to the third-party launcher compatibility issue. However, floating windows and chat bubbles lag have reduced, but you might need to redo apps permission as all that were revoked by the recent update.
As for when the Redmi 9 MIUI 12.5 update in Europe will reach the “stable” phase, it should be in the next few days. However, if you are part of Mi Pilots, you can download it via the link below. You can also flash via TWRP recovery but back up your data before attempting that.
