Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G starts receiving a stable MIUI 12 update.
We have all been expecting this for some time now, and finally, the Mi Mix 3 5G users can rejoice. A couple of months ago, there was big doubt if the Mi Mix 3 5G will receive the stable MIUI 12 update, given that the device still runs the pre-installed MIUI skin. Hope came when Xiaomi, through its UK customer support, promised to roll out a security patch update and the MIUI 12 in July and October, respectively.
Although the security patch build didn’t arrive in July, it did arrive last month, which kept the hope for MIUI 12 alive. Also, we reported that Xiaomi has compiled the first MIUI 12 Beta build for the device last month, and now, the Stable MIUI 12 update for Mi Mix 3 5G has been released, a few weeks before the expected arrival, which is in October.
The update comes in a 958MB package and has a build number, MIUI 12.0.1.0 PEMEUXM. It comes with all the features of MIUI 12 and should include the Super Wallpaper. However, if you can’t get it working on your device, here is a quick fix, just follow the process carefully.
Those in Europe are currently receiving the update and will progressively arrive on all eligible devices (devices running official and latest MIUI ROM). Also, the stable MIUI 12 update for Mi Mix 3 5G is based on Android 9, but that was expected. However, you’ll get most of the Android 10/11 features after downloading the MIUI 12 build.
