Xiaomi had to delay MIUI 13 release, so it could address some of the issues that were introduced with MIUI 12 by releasing the current MIUI 12.5 build. The update has since arrived on most eligible Xiaomi phones, with the company now slowly shifting its focus to MIUI 13. According to one of the company’s executives, the update will arrive in August. Perhaps, that’s for the official unveiling, and expect closed beta testers to start receiving the update shortly after that.
The next iteration of MIUI will focus on system stability, security, optimization, bug fixes, and UI redesign. We have already seen some supposed features of MIUI 13, which are currently exclusive to Beta testers in China. Hopefully, the public will have a taste of these new features with the arrival of MIUI 13. And now that the launch twnime frame is around the corner, we have put up an MIUI 13 update tracker page. The idea is to update our readers with the latest news and eligible devices for the update.
So far, the MIUI 13 beta recruitment has not started yet. Usually, it takes till after the unveiling of a new MIUI version for the recruitment exercise to commence, and we don’t think there’ll be any change this time. Hence, expect the registration from next month after the official unveiling. We would also learn about the eligible phones for MIUI 13 after that the announcement. To keep track of these things is the reason for our MIUI 13 update tracker.
